Our programs assume your commitment to creative work as an essential part of your life, which you will continue outside the sessions during the Program.  Our participants are energised by their creativity which gives direction for living colourfully with passion and energy.

Colour Education for Beginners

Fee: $320 plus materials you need to get from the Materials List
Dates:   Term 2  Wednesdays April 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25 and June 1 and 8
Time: 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Learn basic skills in watercolour painting to bring your own images alive in any medium – acrylics, oils, textas, doodling, graffiti, card-making.

Ideal for anyone who likes to sit outside, doodle in your own backyard, in the bush or at the beach and make simple yet powerful, portable visual notes.

This program, held in our professional studio environment combines exercises with creating your own images  We use the best materials: 300gsm watercolour paper Art Spectrum watercolours 00, 2, 6 brushes white tiles and an A4 plastic folder portfolio. A complete Materials List will be sent to you upon payment for the Program. What you will learn: Paint the Spectrum to understand how colours are created Experience the individual hues red blue and yellow to learn how to work with them effectively Drawing in colour / tone Analysis of colourists’works  – Seurat, Delaunay, Cezanne, Rothko, Frankenthaler, contemporary geometric abstractionists Drawing from colours in nature Choose your topic and make it happen in 2D Use the colour methods to paint a memory or imaginative scenario To enrol in this course, please complete the Enrolment Form at the bottom of this page.
