Trenta Cucina Restaurant, Yarraville
The Brief
Create a street identity with a strong inside/outside connection for night traffic.
In its previous life it was a café with cold zincalume and lime green walls with grey concrete floors. The space was fragmented with a two part ceiling, servery and preparation areas which did not benefit the kitchen or waiting staff. Better spatial relationships were sorted out for efficient food production and customer service.
A new floating timber floor needed to work with tables, place settings, cutlery and the Italian style.
Colour Selection Criteria
An Italian flavour of chocolate and timber panelling sets the tone for the renovation, which includes laminates for table tops, floating floor panelling, place settings and corporate image. Black and white framed photos of local landmarks creates a pride of place and identity within Yarraville.
The height of the ceiling was lowered with colour and the uneven window levels, sizes and finishes were integrated.
