The Brief for the Main Hall
Create a warm welcoming space in a multifunctional space with uses ranging between a contemplative sanctuary, workshop space, conferences and weddings.
Colour Selection Criteria
A large hall with 12m timber panelled ceiling with major existing features which determined the use and feeling of the space – stencilled organ pipes, art deco glass hanging lights, gothic arched windows with much Baltic pine panelling and heavy Baltic pine doors with solid architraves. Warmth and intimacy in a cold large space with 12m from floor to roof was created with Edwardstown Carpets, Accents Seasonings in colour called Accents Chilli in commercial heavy quality. This carpet links the many areas of the refurbishment creating a vibrant contemporary feel to a heritage building.

The Brief for the new Therapy Rooms
A new building to accommodate therapists and workshops exists between a treed courtyard and the old building. The Hawthorn Brick rear of the old building dominates all external views from all therapy rooms.
Colour Selection Criteria
The Hawthorn Brick of the rear of the old building dictated the choice of Edwardstown Carpets Range Hot Seasonings in the colour named Hot Chive which creates a flow on effect of the yellow sandstone coloured paving into and throughout the building.
