ARCHITECTURE SPECTRUM PROGRAM

LIVING COLOUR STUDIO ARCHITECTURE SPECTRUM PROGRAM

8 STEPS TO CREATE AN INTEGRATED LIVING EXPERIENCE

Living Colour Studio has developed the unique Architecture Spectrum Program as a creative timeline and communication tool. It is relevant for all services offered by the studio, including architecture, interior design and art,

Each step is a vital part of the process that we work through with you to ensure your input, control and satisfaction.

While the story of your unique living experience maintains (thankfully!) its sense of mystery, bringing that experience into being requires structure.

SPACE
Stage 1. You present your ideas for the new design. Include shape and structure of rooms, family requirements, kitchen and bathroom style, owner occupied or rental.
PSYCHOLOGY
Stage 2. Your vision for living in your property in the next 10 years including the atmosphere you want to create. Your lifestyle, habits and idiosyncracies will be incorporated into a challenging discussion to encourage you to think outside the square box into the future.
FINANCES
Stage 3.  You present your budget with increased investment value for the property. Design and building costs will be considered to ensure a viable project.
SUSTAINABILITY
Stage 4.  Your ecological footprint is explored according to your selection of technology, building materials, equipment, finishes and building procedures. We encourage you to implement sustainable living choices with greywater, solar panels, cross ventilation, insulation.
BLUEPRINT
Stage 5.  The blueprint emerging from Stages  1- 4 will be presented. You will check that all your needs have been honoured and incorporated in the design and return with amendments. Conflicting views between partners about style, equipment and layout are resolved. A team design solution is finalised that balances client needs and local council building requirements.
SKETCHPLAN
Stage 6.  The collaborative design will be reviewed and amended until all conflicting views are resolved.
COMPLETION OF WORKING  DRAWINGS
Stage 7.  The Sketchplan is translated into working drawings for local council approval for Town Planning and Building Permits as well as engineering, lighting and surveying purposes. Upon local council approval building can now commence.
SUPPLIERS AND SERVICES
Stage 8.  We do not recommend builders or suppliers of building services but we offer lists of: Builders / town planners / surveyors / painters / lighting engineers / interior finishes / shopfitters / carpenters / handypersons / joiners / curtains and blinds / landscapers / etc.
